Nothing Phone (2) Leaks – Price and Storage Options Revealed

Amidst the anticipation surrounding the global launch of the Nothing Phone (2), rumors about its price have dampened some excitement. The possible starting price and storage variants for the upcoming phone were shared by a  French publication Dealabs Magazine. These alleged details suggest that the Nothing Phone (2) could have a starting price of €729 in France for the 256GB internal storage version. Additionally, speculation is that the higher storage variant, with 512GB, might start at €849 in the same market.

Considering these details, it would roughly translate to a price of around $798 in the U.S. for the 256GB version, while the 512GB version could be priced at about $930. However, it’s important to note that currency conversions between Europe and the U.S. are not exact, so these estimates should be taken cautiously. Furthermore, the company may offer different pricing in various markets so that the actual prices could be similar or significantly different depending on the region.

Additionally, it has been speculated that the lower internal storage variant of the Nothing Phone (2) may come with 8GB of RAM. In comparison, the higher storage variant could offer 12GB of RAM. Dealabs Magazine mentioned that both versions might be available in black and white color options, following a similar pattern to the launch of the previous Phone (1) model last year.

Nothing CEO Carl Pei also appeared to be a bit upset about the leak from the French publication. This could be interpreted in two ways: either the rumors are true, and he is expressing frustration, or he is intentionally building hype by reacting strongly while the actual price remains undisclosed. This will only be revealed when the device launches in July.

The device is expected to have a global launch, so fans in the U.S. will also have the opportunity to get their hands on it. Interestingly, there doesn’t seem to be a 128GB model like there was with the Nothing Phone (1). On the one hand, this is good news for users who require more storage. However, the absence of a lower storage option might have been the reason for the Nothing Phone (2)’s high price tag.

Recently leaked renders of the Nothing Phone (2) provide a detailed look at its design, which appears similar to its predecessor. The phone is rumored to feature an upgraded rear Glyph lighting design and some minor changes to its front and back panels. The upcoming device is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, as Pei expressed confidence in this mobile platform. A 4,700mAh battery is also anticipated, and the phone will run on Nothing OS 2.0.
