Google Pixel Roadmap to 2025 Revealed

Google Pixel Roadmap to 2025 Revealed

A recent leak via an unnamed source of Android Authority has taken the internet by storm. This leak reveals all of Google’s plans from 2023 up until 2025. This alleged roadmap begins in 2023 as everyone is anticipating the release of the Pixel Fold. According to recent leaks, the phone will look much like the Pixel 7 series and be sized at 158.7 x 139.7 x 5.7mm. This makes this phone look and feels much like an Oppo Find N instead of a Galaxy Z Fold, which it will rival.

In 2023, the company also plans to reveal a Pixel Tablet, which will be Google’s first-ever tablet. The company hopes this may become an integral part of their consumer’s homes as it can be positioned alongside a smart home hub. The source claims that another phone will be released alongside it, codenamed lynx, and is thought to be the rumored Pixel 7a

The latter half of 2023 also seems exciting for Google as the company is expected to release its next flagship phone series, the Pixel 8. The leaker also claims the device could be powered using a new Tensor G3 chip. The Pixel 8 will likely have a smaller display. In contrast, the Pixel 8 Pro will allegedly have the exact dimensions as the Pixel 8 Pro.

Google’s 2024 plans do not seem as grand as the others, as a potential 8a is expected to be released. Android Authority’s source claims that the phone is codenamed, Akita. However, this plan may be scrapped if the Pixel 7a does not perform well. The same year, Google also plans to host an event in the fall to introduce the Google Pixel 9 series.

This series will allegedly have three models, including 6.3-inch and 6.7-inch displays, and the third will be a smaller model. According to the source, it seems as if Google is attempting to mirror Apple’s marketing with the iPhone 14 lineup.

For 2025, Google’s plans seem a bit murky for now. Allegedly, the company will reflect on its previous years and see where it failed in 2023 and 2024 and refrain from making rash decisions. However, if they are successful, Google may release as many as four smartphones in 2025. This may or may not include the Fold.
