Motorola Think Phone - Leakers Reveal a New Phone Designed for Workaholics

Even though Motorola moved from Google a few years ago after Lenovo acquired it, the two companies have carried out their businesses separately. However, with this newly leaked phone, it may seem that Lenovo is finally bringing its branding for laptops to Motorola phones. Reportedly, Motorola is working on a phone that features the same branding as seen on Lenovo’s ThinkPad line of laptops: a faux carbon-fiber finish.

According to the leaked images shared by TechOutlook, the prototype of this new phone even has the same font style as Lenovo’s ThinkPad line. This new phone has been dubbed the ThinkPhone based on its similarities to the laptop line. This is the first time consumers are seeing a new kind of handset from the company. Still, given the connection between Lenovo and Motorola, it is not too big of a surprise.

Although the leaked images are blurry, you can easily make out the integration between this new phone and Lenovo’s ThinkPad Line. Along with the images, the spec sheet of the phone has also been released. According to it, the phone will not be using the latest Qualcomm chip. Still, it will instead be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. Additionally, it will have 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage. These specs hint at the kind of market this phone is aimed at.

With the hallmark features of a faux carbon fiber finish and sizable internal space with a massive RAM, this handset is meant to be a business-oriented phone. The leaks show off other features of the phone as well. There is a red button in the upper left corner, which is reminiscent of ThinkPad’s Trackpoint center button. However, their functions vary because the button on the phone can be used as a customizable shortcut button.

The leaks also reveal that the phone will have a 6.6-inch OLED display with a 1800 x 2400 resolution with a 144Hz refresh rate. On the rear of the phone, there is most likely a triple camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor, a 13 MP ultra-wide shooter, and a 2MP depth sensor. The ThinkPhone will also probably come with a 5000mAh battery and 68W fast-charging capabilities.
