Xiaomi 14 Pro Rumours – A Next-Gen Snapdragon Chip and a Larger Battery

Xiaomi’s next flagship phone has some information about its specs leaked online, and the phone seems to be extremely promising. These leaks come from Digital Chat Station, a well-known Weibo leaker, who revealed that consumers could expect higher power and larger battery life from the Xiaomi 14 Pro. Allegedly, the new 14 Pro may feature Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and a 5000mAh battery.

Digital Chat Station also states that the new phone will likely have 90W and 120W fast charging capabilities. In addition to this, users may also have 50W wireless charging features on the device. There have also been rumors regarding the display of the new Xiaomi 14 series. These rumors suggest that the company has been considering releasing the phone with flat and curved screens. Currently, sources indicate that Xiaomi may opt for a flay display for the 14 models and may use a curved screen for the Pro model.

If the Xiaomi 14 Pro launches with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, it will continue the trend of Chinese brands using the latest and strongest chips in their flagship devices. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip is rumored to have boosted speeds at around 3.7GHz. The chip is also allegedly moving away from a 1+4+3 internal core architecture present in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Instead, they are moving towards a 1+5+2 setup.

This change in setup will likely result in more speed and efficiency for Android phones. 91Mobile also claims that Xiaomi may use a WLG High Lens sensor within the camera array of the phone, making it much more appealing.

Xiaomi seems to be churning out phones as it released the Xiaomi 13 Pro back in February, with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and a 4820mAh battery. Suppose the leaked Xiaomi 14 Pro rumors turn out to be true. In that case, the users will see a massive increase in the phone’s performance and a significant improvement in battery life. The 13 Pro also featured 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

However, these leaks are not confirmed. Xiaomi has previously proven itself resistant to change, especially in the charging department. Additionally, it will be a while before the Xiaomi 14 Pro launches, so there is always a chance that the company may change things.
