Samsung Releases the Galaxy A34 With an Updated Design, Including a 120Hz Display

Samsung’s Galaxy A series is a top-rated mid-range series that allows consumers to get the Samsung experience on a budget. The company usually launches its phones around March, and it was no different this year as the company has just officially announced the Galaxy A34 5G. This is a mid-range entry-level device similar to the new Galaxy A54 in terms of battery, storage options, and design.

However, the Galaxy A34 does have its differences. The phone comes with a Super AMOLED panel, which features a 120Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ on a 6.6-inch display. The device measures around 161.3 x 78.1 x 8.2mm and weighs approximately 199 grams. Under the hood, the Galaxy A34 is powered by an unspecified octa-core processor, but credible sources, such as GSMArena, have confirmed it to be a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC.

This chip is accompanied by either 6GB of RAM or 8GB of RAM, depending on what you choose. Users will also have the option to select their desired storage option between 128GB and 256GB. There is also a slot for a microSD card, so if needed, users can expand their storage up to 1TB. Out of the box, the phone will have an Android 13-based One UI 5.1.

The phone will likely receive four generations of OS upgrades and five years of security updates, as promised by Samsung, so this phone should last quite some time without any issues. On the phone’s rear, the Galaxy A34 sports a triple camera system, including a 48MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 5MP macro camera. The primary camera will have OIS support. On the front, the phone has a 13MP selfie camera.

To sustain the phone’s internals, the Galaxy A34 will have a 5000mAh battery, which is standard for a mid-range phone. This battery will be backed by Samsung’s 25W fast charging support. In terms of security, the device is protected by Samsung Knox and Private Share features that offer advanced security for your data.

The phone will be offered in four colors: Awesome Lime, Awesome Graphite, Awesome Silver, and Awesome Violet. The device will be available this month, but Samsung plans to focus on select markets such as Europe and Southeast Asia.
