The Samsung Galaxy A phone series is one of Samsung’s best-selling phone series because of the amazing price bundled with premium-grade specs. The A53 and A33 last year were the company’s best-selling models, and they hope to continue the trend with the Galaxy A54 and the A34. However, recent leaks seem to suggest that there may be a price increase. 

This leak comes from Appuals that have posted the expected price of the upcoming Samsung galaxy A54 and A34 mid-range models. The prices imply that they will be more expensive than their previous generation causing concern among customers. The report suggests that the base variant of the Galaxy A54 will have 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage and will cost between €530 and €550. The more expensive model with 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage is expected to cost between €590 and €610. 

The A34 5G is also expected to have a price rise. The base model with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage will cost between €410 and €430. The 8GB RAM and 256 GB internal storage variant is expected to cost around €470 and €490. These prices are not confirmed, but customers will likely have to pay extra if they plan on upgrading to these models. 

Alongside the price increase, leaks also suggest that Samsung may have upgraded the phone’s specs. A report from WinFuture indicates that the Galaxy A54 will have a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with  2340 x 1080 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. This upgraded screen may be one of the reasons for the elevated price. 

Under the hood, the new mid-range phones may sport an Exynos 1380 chipset with an ARM Mali-G68 GPU. Although this leak contradicts previous leaks, it still promises performance improvement for the Galaxy A54 over the Galaxy A53. Regarding cameras, rumours suggest that the Galaxy A54 may sport a 50 MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera and a 5MP sensor. 

If these rumours are true, then in terms of specs, the camera will be a downgrade from the A53 because it ships with a 64MP primary sensor. The leaks have not suggested a selfie camera update, so Samsung may be sticking to a 32 MP selfie camera. The battery may also receive an upgrade, and the new mid-range phones may have a 5000mAh battery with support for 25W charging.
