Along with other Disney animated masterpieces, the 2021 movie Encanto is currently available for purchase. The endearing film revolves around Colombia’s Madrigal family, who inhabit a mystical home with a plethora of magical abilities. Along with some song and dance, the movie chronicles their battle with their families and try to maintain their miraculous skills. Here are the actual voice actors behind each member of the Encanto family.

Encanto – Cast

Stephanie Beatriz as Mirabel Madrigal

Stephanie Beatriz, an American actor, and model is most recognized for her roles in Rosa Diaz in Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2013-21), Carla in In the Heights (2021), General Mayhem/Sweet Mayhem in The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part (2019), Chimi in Maya and the Three (2021), Gina Cazado in BoJack Horseman (2018-19)

Encanto’s main character, Mirabel Madrigal, is voiced by Beatriz. In contrast to the rest of the family members, Stephanie Beatriz the family Madrigal does not possess a unique talent. She is frequently characterized as flawed, eccentric, and strange, but she is also intensely sentimental and incredibly empathic. After noticing fissures in the walls, she leaves the house to look into the damage. Mirabel resolves family conflict while achieving personal peace.

María Cecilia Botero as Abuela Alma Madrigal

Encanto cast includes Laura Blanco, she is best known for her roles in Dos mujeres (1997), Beatriz in Enfermeras (2019-) Carmen in La bruja (2011), Antonia de Ferreira in Nuevo rico, nuevo pobre (2007-08), Elena in Amalia (2018)

Abuela is the grandmother of Mirabel. While raising triplets, she managed to flee community violence in her childhood. Alma instructs Mirabel in life lessons while thinking back on her late husband, Pedro.

Angie Cepeda as Julieta Madrigal

Angie Cepeda, a Colombian actress, is most famous for her performances in Widow Nazaret in Love in the Time of Cholera (2007), Diamantina in Heleno (2011), Patty Wafers in A Night in Old Mexico (2013), Maria Gonzales in Wild Horses (2015), Adriana Chavando in Jane the Virgin (2016)

In Encanto, Julieta Madrigal is voiced by Cepeda. She is the mother of Mirabel and Agustin’s wife, and she is renowned for her delicious arepas, which are used to treat patients. Julieta thinks Abuela Alma is too strict with Mirabel.

Mauro Castillo as Félix Madrigal

Encanto voice actors also include Colombian singer, music producer, composer, trombonist, and performer, Mauro Castillo. His biggest claim to fame is his part in El Joe: The Legend. He has written songs as a composer for artists including Hermanos Moreno, Joe Arroyo, Oscar de León, and Titanes de la Salsa, among others.

Castillo voices Félix Madrigal in Encanto, Mirabel’s uncle. He is also Pepa’s husband and is there to have a good time. He’s a lively character who provides extra comic relief. Félix helps Mirabel understand why the elders don’t speak about Bruno.

John Leguizamo as Bruno Madrigal

An American performer, comedian, producer, playwright, and screenwriter, John Leguizamo voices Bruno. He is known for his contributions to the worldwide popular projects like Super Mario Bros., Ice Age film series, Romeo + Juliet, Carlito’s Way, The Counselor, Collateral Damage, and The Brothers García.

He has received numerous awards and nominations, including four Primetime Emmy nominations, a Special Tony Award, and a Golden Globe nomination.

Who played Bruno in Encanto? In Encantó, Leguizamo voices Bruno Madrigal. He is also Mirabel’s other uncle and has the gift of prophecy. He once ran away from home because his prophetic visions were criticized. Bruno tries to predict the “undecided future” of Mirabel.

Jessica Darrow as Luisa Madrigal

Jessica Darrow starred as Mimi in Grand Theft Auto V (2013), Sarah in Feast of the Seven Fishes (2019), Taylor Reese in Following Hannah Stone (2021)

The sister of Mirabel and Isabela and the topic of Encanto’s song “Surface Pressure,” Luisa Madrigal, is portrayed by Jessica Darrow. Because of her superhuman strength, Luisa Encanto actress is the family’s muscle. She is referred to as the siblings’ “brawn.” While navigating life, Luisa worries about her obligations to her family.

Carolina Gaitán as Pepa Madrigal

Actor and singer Carolina Gaitán is best known for her work in Manuelita Sáenz in Córdova ‘un general llamado arrojo’ (2019), Marta Ochoa in Narcos (2015), Catalina Marín in El Final del Paraíso (2019), Catalina Marín in Sin Senos Sí Hay Paraíso (2016-18), Lola in MalaYerba (2021-)

Pepa Madrigal is voiced by Lina Gaitán, she is the outgoing aunt of Mirabel. With her husband Félix by her side, she gives life advice. Pepa frequently spins her tresses and has weather control. One power is considered one of the most powerful in the family.

Wilmer Valderrama as Agustín Madrigal

Wilmer Valderrama is best known for his roles in Fez in That ’70s Show (1998-2006), Dell Gordo in Larry Crowne (2011), Nick Torres/Flashback Arturo Amador in NCIS (2016-), Carlos Madrigal in From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series (2000-16), Keoki in Party Monster (2003), 

Wilmer Valderrama plays Mirabel’s father. He’s an accident-prone man. Agustín urges Mirabel to act “normal”

Diane Guerrero as Isabela Madrigal

Diane Guerrero is best known for her roles in Lina in Jane the Virgin (2014-19), Maritza Ramos in Orange Is the New Black (2013-19), Amanda Nevins in Emoticon 😉 (2014), Crazy Jane/Driver 8 in Doom Patrol (2019-) Vestia in Elena of Avalor (2018-19)

Regarding her part in Disney’s Encanto, Guerrero plays Mirabel’s eldest sister, who is initially portrayed as somewhat of an antagonist. Although Isabela is regarded highly by her family, it’s also evident in Encanto that Abuela is tough on her, forcing her to marry Mariano despite her lack of interest in him.

Adassa as Dolores Madrigal

Adassa is a Miami-based American reggae singer who made her feature film debut in the Incanto movie.

Adassa, dubbed the “Reggaeton Princess,” plays Dolores, Pepa, and Félix’s eldest daughter, as well as the second-oldest Madrigal cousin after Isabela. Dolores’ enhanced hearing enables her to pry into her family’s most closely guarded secrets, which has sparked numerous theories regarding if Dolores could hear Bruno within the walls all along. Dolores is in love with Mariano Guzmán, even though he is almost betrothed to her cousin Isabela.
