This first movie explains how a facility called The Hive released a genetically modified T-virus that turns dead people into zombies. It also tells how the Red Queen, the lab’s AI security system, destroyed every living creature there in an effort to stop the virus.

The zombies left the lab since the plan didn’t succeed. By locating an anti-virus that is allegedly still present in the Hive, Alice and her team must attempt to stop the breakout.

The film narrates the early stages of a zombie epidemic in Raccoon City.
