OnePlus has finally unveiled its brand new budget smartphone, which is expected to launch in India early next month and cost around the $300 mark. Earlier this month, possible renders for this phone leaked online, showing off the new design OnePlus has decided on. This budget smartphone is scheduled to launch on April 4, but the company has not yet revealed its specifications for it.
However, leakers took matters into their own hands, and a reliable tipster unveiled the specifications for the device through GSMArena. The website confirms what OnePlus India revealed, including a sizable 5000mAh battery capable of supporting the company’s 67W SuperVOOC charging speeds. The phone also promises to deliver a full day’s charge in 30 minutes. Other revealed specifications include the screen size, which is a 6.7-inch FHD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
The device could also feature up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128 GB of UFS 2.2 storage, which is relatively slow and a letdown in 2023. The device could also support microSD expansion support, allowing users to expand their storage. The leaked information also reveals that the phone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 695 SoC.
The design is the most significant change that OnePlus has made. The company has chosen a boxy design featuring squared-off corners and has decided to release the phone in two colors, Pastel Lime and Chromatic Green. On the rear, the phone features a triple camera setup with two significant circular modules. These are 108MP primary cameras alongside two 2MP sensors. On the front of the phone is a punch-hole 16MP selfie camera.
The Nord CE 3 Lite will likely ship with an Android 13-based Oxygen OS 13. The leaker, Snoopy Tech, believes that the phone will get two OS upgrades and three years of security updates. The connectivity options for this phone include 5G, Type-C, Bluetooth 5.1, and Wi-Fi 5.
Alongside the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite, the company is also planning to release its OnePlus Nord Buds 2. Although the launch of the two devices is a week away, OnePlus has started teasing the Nord CE 3 Lite on all its social media platforms. Amazon India has also uploaded a listing.
