Corsair Void Pro RGB Review - Are Void Pro the Best Headphones Under 100?

Corsair Void Pro RGB Review

Several brands lead the premium headphones market, and Corsair is one of them. The leading manufacturer of audio peripherals has our full attention as soon as it launches a new model, and when the Corsair Void Pro RGB Wireless dropped, we were eager to get our hands on them. On paper, the Void Pro RGB Wireless offers fantastic audio with a 7.1 surround sound experience, plus an array of valuable features suited for modern gaming and functionality.

The Void Pro is a wireless model, so you will be free to move around without wires restricting your movement. For gaming, the comfortable design of these headphones ensures that you can enjoy great audio for a long time without discomfort. The Corsair Void Pro Wireless has many things in common with the best gaming headsets on the market and a few more things to give it an edge over others.

Your Corsair Void headset will work with a Mac, PC, Xbox, and PS4, but it will require an adapter to connect. The build quality is also robust thanks to the use of good quality materials, which means that Void Pro RGB headphones will last a long time.

As far as the sound quality of these headphones is concerned, it has an exceptionally crisp audio quality with surround sound and loud impactful bass. The Corsair Void Pro Wireless excels in the audio department, and the battery life is also pretty decent. You won’t have to charge not again and again since a single charge will last you a long time (we will share specific details on this and more later in the review).

As you would expect from a premium quality product, the Corsair Void Pro RGB headphones arrive in a big box neatly wrapped in clear plastic. The initial wrapping is easy to take off; you might require a pair of scissors to get in.

Once you remove the box, you will encounter another box inside, which holds the actual product and the accessories. The reason why Corsair decided to use two boxes is simple – for maximum protection to ensure that your headsets remain undamaged during shipping.

Inside the second box, the headset and the jack are neatly organized, along with the adapter, mic foam, warranty card, and the user’s manual. Everything is held securely to the box with tape, which you will have to remove along with the protective plastic coating. The unboxing of the Void Pro RGB Wireless is hassle-free, and everything is well packed.

The air Void Pro RGB wireless has an impressive and pleasing design. The premium quality of the headset speaks for itself thanks to the glossy finish, even though this finish will be a magnet of fingerprints and smudges every time you touch it. That aside, the headphones look and feel amazing.

In terms of comfort, the Void Pro RGB is exceptional. The soft removable ear cups are made from high-quality materials with a good cushion and a smooth finish. The cups sit securely and comfortably against the ears.

The headband has also been constructed out of soft materials, which is great because they don’t put uncomfortable pressure against your head during long periods of use.

The Void Pro RGB wireless headphones are also lightweight so moving around in them is easy, which is especially important for wireless headsets. These are among the lightest gaming headphones we have tested thus far. Plus, the added benefit of being wireless means you will have no trouble using the Void Pro RGB while on the go and when you are sitting in front of your system or console.

When we tested the wired version of the Void Pro RGB, the wireless model came out on top for its stability and grip, which could be the result of a more sturdy and rigid headband, but that’s only our speculation. There is no difference in the design of the wireless and wired models on paper. However, there was a notable difference when tested side-by-side.

These headphones have a closed-back design that provides noise cancellation, minimizing external audio interruptions during intense gaming and a more immersive audio experience, whether playing a game or listening to music.

User Interface

Corsair Void Pro RGB is easy and simple to use. The headset is comfortable to wear and is also easy to operate. You will find a mic control, power button, and volume/equalizer control wheel on the left side that you can conveniently use with gaming.

Corsair iCUE software allows you to customize and store up to five equalizer profiles. You can easily swap profiles with a push of a button. With the iCUE software, you can also adjust the lighting and color of the Corsair logo.

The microphone can be rotated 90 degrees. It is flexible and durable, so you can swivel it around without any risk of damaging it. The mic also has active noise canceling.

You will find LED lights on the headphones that indicate battery life and paired connections.

Battery life is one of the most vital features of wireless headphones. Void Pro RGB claims to offer 16-hour battery life. We tested it, and the battery lasted about 15 hours and 47 minutes on a single charge. The headphones also have an auto shut down feature, so they turn off automatically if you forget to do so.

Some people complain about its battery not lasting the complete 16 hours; however, we have no significant complaints about the battery life. The long battery life makes Void Pro RGB perfect for long-term gaming sessions.

These Corsair headphones have top-notch sound quality, especially while gaming. The sound is perfect out of the box; however, with the Corsair iCUE software, you have tons of customization options. The headphones do not produce any loud, distracting noise. The sound is always well balanced with loud bass; it does not distort, even at higher volumes. The sound quality is undoubtedly impressive, but the Dolby Headphone processing adds the cherry on top.

The clarity of sound makes Void Pro RGB the best gaming headphones as it picks even minor game sound details that can contribute to a winning performance. The crisp and clear sound makes Void Pro RGB an excellent choice for movies, music, gaming, and video/voice calls.

Void Pro RGB is hands-down the best in the market if you want excellent mic quality. It produces crystal clear voice quality and cancels background noise, allowing trouble-free communication with gamers during online gaming sessions. The mic sometimes has connection issues; however, it is rare, so we wouldn’t want you to rule out Void Pro RGB because of this minor con.

We love that rsair void Pro RGB wireless is sweat- and water-resistant, making them perfect for long hours of gaming, gyming, and outdoors. The cups are comfortable and breathable so that they won’t sweat out your ears.

Personal Experience With Corsair VOID PRO RGB Wireless Gaming Headset

So, we’ve been trying the Corsair VOID PRO RGB Wireless Gaming Headset as the primary headset for about three weeks now, and we must say that we really like it. Corsair seems to get things right, and these headphones are an excellent example of that.

To begin with, the new 50 mm drivers sound fantastic! There is a significant distinction between this particular headset and the prior VOID headset. The sound is highly isolated, so you feel completely engaged in your game. Nothing is more irritating than hearing everything around you that would otherwise distract you from gaming.

Dolby Headphone 7.1 virtual surround sound is also included in the headset, providing even more excellent sound.

This headset is quite comfy, although it takes some getting used to. If you are used to tight headsets, this one, on the other hand, sits more loosely on your head. This gives the impression that it will fall off, but it will not. Because the looser fit puts less strain on the head and ears, prolonged gaming sessions are not an issue with this headset. The airy microfiber mesh ear cups are fantastic. The looser fit significantly decreases heat buildup and dampness.

The office headset broke, which meant I had to travel carrying the Void Pro in my backpack for many days before the new one arrived in the mail, and I have to tell you that these headphones can take a battering. They are still unharmed in the crowded tube, despite people pushing against my backpack, which holds many books, lunches, snacks, umbrellas, a water bottle, and a goat.

The material used on the ear cups is of good quality and durable, and all of the movable components are strong and well-designed. Overall, they seem pretty flexible but not flimsy or fragile, so I was never worried about inadvertently breaking them by bending them too far, as is common with inexpensive gaming headphones.

They are slightly heavier, which, combined with the flexibility of the moving pieces, means they are somewhat loose on the head, meaning you may knock them off by accident when you make jerky, rapid movements.

Corsair also spent time redesigning the wireless technology on this headset. It employs new twin diversity antennas to increase coverage area as well as signal reliability in a range of settings. The wireless transmitter emits a 90-degree pattern and uses automatic frequency switching to maximize the wireless signal constantly. This was put to the test in the dreaded kitchen, which is where wireless fails in our situation. The workplace routers drop signals like crazy there, but when we had the VOID PRO RGB paired to a computer in the office, we could stroll into our kitchen to make a meal and walk back with zero difficulties. And who doesn’t want to be able to stand up and wander away from their computer while still enjoying music or using voice chat?

The RGB illumination on the headset is a great touch that isn’t overpowering, as we’ve seen on other devices. Corsair’s CUE software makes it simple to use. You may also adjust and create alternative EQ settings here. The buttons and controls on the headphones are simple to use, and you can do almost everything without even opening CUE.

Overall, this ranks as one of the most outstanding gaming headphones I’ve tried. It sounds terrific and is quite comfortable; we could play for hours on end without taking it off. It’s simple to use, and, of course, it’s wireless. We highly recommend this one if you’re searching for a new gaming headset!

Right now, you can get it for $99.99 from our favorite online retailer. The Corsair VOID PRO Wireless Gaming Headset receives a 10 out of 10 rating from Reviewsed.

Corsair Void Pro RGB wireless headphones are a high-performance device by all means. It fully justifies the price, but it also gives several pricer gaming headphones from competing brands a run for their money. The sound is excellent, the mic quality is brilliant, the comfort level is top-notch, the usability is convenient, the built quality is durable, the wearability is comfortable, and the price is the icing on the cake.

All in all, it is safe to say that Corsair Void Pro RGB is one of the best gaming headsets under 100. With highly impressive features and a competitive price, it is a must-try wireless headset for gamers.
