Samsung May Be Looking To Relaunch the Galaxy S21 FE Before the Galaxy S23 FE

According to rumors circulating online, Samsung may be considering relaunching the Galaxy S21 FE in the Indian market, this time equipped with a Snapdragon chipset. The original Galaxy S21 FE, powered by the Exynos 2100, was introduced in the country early last year but faced criticism for its pricing.

According to tipster Abhishek Yadav, India’s relaunched Galaxy S21 FE will feature the Snapdragon 888 chipset and come with 256GB of storage. Additionally, a new Navy Blue color option may be available for consumers.

This move suggests that Samsung aims to address the concerns raised about the previous Exynos-powered model and provide Indian consumers with a version that offers the flagship Snapdragon performance. However, it’s important to note that Samsung has not yet confirmed these rumors, and further details regarding the launch and availability of the Snapdragon variant in India are yet to be announced.

Despite being equipped with slightly older components, such as the Snapdragon 888 processor, which is three years old, and the device itself being a year old, the rumored launch of the Galaxy S21 FE might lead to some confusion, especially considering the wide array of other Android phones available in the market. It is also worth noting that the Galaxy S23 FE is expected to hit the market sooner in the coming months, further adding to the competitive landscape.

However, despite older internals, the alleged Galaxy S21 FE is reported to sport a 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display featuring a buttery smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The device’s camera setup is expected to consist of a triple rear camera system, with two 12-megapixel cameras and an 8-megapixel telephoto sensor. Potential buyers can also anticipate a 32-megapixel selfie shooter on the front to capture their best moments.

Moreover, the device is expected to pack a respectable 4500mAh battery capacity, with support for 25W wired charging and 15W wireless charging capabilities, ensuring that users stay powered throughout their day.

Regarding software, the Galaxy S21 FE’s Exynos variant in India was the first to be launched with One UI 4, based on the latest Android 12 operating system. What’s more, users can look forward to promised software updates up to Android 15. On the other hand, the newer Snapdragon variant of the device could potentially launch with the upcoming Android 13 right out of the box, providing users with the latest software experience.

In leaked information shared by 91Mobiles, the alleged pricing details for the Galaxy S21 FE have emerged prior to its rumored launch. The 8GB+256GB variant is expected to cost Rs 49,999, notably lower than the original 8GB+128GB variant, currently priced at Rs 54,999. This competitive pricing strategy might attract potential buyers looking for a high-quality device without breaking the bank.
