Why WandaVision Season 2 Will Happen (Just Not How You Think)

Why WandaVision Season 2 Will Happen (Just Not How You Think)

With the next Disney+ series produced by Marvel Studios, which all began with WandaVision in January 2021, the MCU is set to expand more than before. The brand could keep up with new adventures through Disney’s streaming service even though that series used its own distinct sitcom-inspired storytelling approach.

While the future seasons of other shows, such as Loki, have already been established, WandaVision’s future has always been uncertain. This is because in Avengers: Infinity War, Paul Bettany’s Vision was killed by Thanos and didn’t reappear until Wanda’s incredibly potent Chaos Magic.

Both viewers and critics agreed that WandaVision’s first season was a huge success, and practically all its major cast members plan to continue their careers in other projects.

It might be best for anyone wishing for a WandaVision season 2 to view Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness instead, as Wanda Maximoff is in that film and can be seen in the trailer. We already knew that she was probably still looking for her children. MCU president Kevin Feige has been upfront about the fact that WandaVision’s events would lead into the film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness from the beginning.

Several Emmy nominations in relevant categories have solidified the show’s position as a limited series. Kathryn Hahn, Elizabeth Olsen, and Paul Bettany were nominated for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series, Lead Actor and Lead Actress, respectively. Regarding WandaVision season 2’s possibilities, Feige has been coy and told reporters he couldn’t say a definite no. With MCU, you can never really be sure.

Coven of Chaos and WandaVision Linked

Agatha: Coven of Chaos, a spinoff of Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness series, might be a contributing factor to WandaVision’s season 2. The series will center on the unnamed witch, who served as WandaVision’s primary foe in an episode that may prove to be crucial to Phase 5 and the Multiverse Saga as a whole.

While Marvel Studios has been mum on the specifics of Coven of Chaos, the series is anticipated to debut on Disney+ later this year or early 2024. It will explore the magical aspect of the MCU, like its spiritual predecessor, and continue Agatha’s story after the Scarlet Witch vanquishes her.

Marvel Studios still needs to acknowledge the existence of Vision Quest, the second spiritual descendant of WandaVision. The consequences of White Vision’s escape during the WandaVision finale, which remained one of the MCU’s significant mysteries throughout Phase 4, is most likely the focus of Vision Quest’s story, which is not entirely revealed.

Paul Bettany, the male lead in WandaVision, will likely make a second appearance as the synthezoid who has been rebuilt and is on a mission to restore his identity. The character’s tight relationship with Wanda Maximoff also inspires speculation that she would make an appearance in the series despite Elizabeth Olsen’s former Avenger appearing to have died in Multiverse of Madness.

Will there be Another Season 2 of WandaVision?

Will there be Another Season 2 of WandaVision

It seems like WandaVision will be continued in some way by both Coven of Chaos and Vision Quest. In addition to Debra Jo Rupp and Emma Caulfield, who first appeared as residents of Westview throughout WandaVision, Coven of Chaos will also feature Aubrey Plaza’s mysterious character, suggesting a connection between the two shows.

Also, Wanda’s long-awaited comeback could be set up in some way, even if she doesn’t physically appear in Coven of Chaos, thanks to Agatha’s deep ties to mystical groups and the occult, which could be utilized to explain the Scarlet Witch’s origin further. It may play a significant role in the Multiverse Saga.

WandaVision’s spinoff series has a stronger relationship to Vision than Coven of Chaos because it will most likely immediately follow one of the significant cliffhangers from the main series. The Scarlet Witch’s return, which stands alone to be an added reason for Wanda Maximoff to make a comeback and lead to reuniting with her rebuilt husband, would be much more exciting if included in Vision Quest.

Also, the series will elaborate on some subplots introduced in season 1, such as SWORD’s ongoing actions and the outcome of Vision’s consciousness. Vision Quest is carrying on WandaVision’s legacy in the MCU, much like Agatha: Coven of Chaos, making another Season for WandaVision to provide fans with all the details they have been waiting for.

Who might be part of the WandaVision Season 2 Cast?

It’s impossible to say who will return in season two at this time, given how we still aren’t sure about WandaVision.

It’s difficult to say because the series’ conclusion has erased everyone explicitly connected to Westview, including Wanda’s version of Vision and their two children. The specifics would truly rely on the plot of the new episodes, but for now, here is a list of every prominent character who might return in a potential season two:

  1. Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch
  2. Paul Bettany as Vision/White Vision
  3. Kathryn Hahn as Agnes /Agatha Harkness
  4. Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau/Photon
  5. Debra Jo Rupp as Mrs. Hart
  6. Fred Melamed as Arthur Hart
  7. Randall Park as Jimmy Woo
  8. Emma Caulfield as Dottie Jones
  9. Evan Peters as Fake Pietro
  10. Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis

The Possibilities of White Vision and Scarlet Witch

The Possibilities of White Vision and Scarlet Witch

White Vision is a major character in one of WandaVision season 1’s unresolved stories. The last episode pits Vision, the one made by Wanda’s abilities, against White vision, which is constructed from Vision’s vibranium body.

He is defeated by Wanda’s Vision using philosophy, after which she grants him access to all of his memories. The episode ends with White Vision still missing after taking off on a plane. But, the story of White Vision cannot end there. A strong vibranium android is flying around with all of Vision’s memories.

If there is a WandaVision season 2, Wanda and White Vision may cross paths again. Even though White Vision doesn’t own the Mind Stone, there might be a possibility of them falling in love or rekindling.

Takeaway

With so many questions and news floating on the internet, we can’t really be sure what is expected from the WandaVision series. But the best part is Feige hasn’t denied fans and reporters on season 2 WandaVision. In the light of no denial and the abrupt ending with Visions memories floating and how WandaVision is seen searching for her kids in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, we can expect a season 2 coming our way. But not anytime soon, as the leading actors are preparing for their roles in other MCU movies, so there might be something in 2024 or 2025; you never know.
