Honor 8 Pro – A Phone for Vloggers

Honor has recently announced that it will be launching its brand new 80 and 80 Pro for the Chinese market. These phones are designed to target vloggers in an effort to replace separate cameras with a phone that they can use to film videos as well. Honor states that with the Honor 80 and 80 Pro launch, users can use its AI Vlog Master feature to shoot high-quality videos. The software will help you identify shooting scenarios and then recommend the best mode.

The new AI feature can also recommend options such as Solo Cut, Night, Macro, HDR Videos, and Multi-video on the Honor 80 Pro. This option is not available for the lower-end Honor 80. At the back, the phone features a 160MP ultra-clear primary lens with a 1/1.56-inch sensor.

With such an impressive camera, Honor hopes that it will be able to capture more light when filming and produce pictures with higher quality than before. The camera is also equipped for low-light situations. When this impressive camera is combined with the Honor Image Engine in the new phone, you will get photos with enhanced photo quality that is precisely adjusted depending on the lighting scenario in which the picture was taken.

On the inside, Honor has upgraded the chip, and their 80 Pro will be using a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. Although this chipset is not the newest, it has powered some of the best Android devices released in 2022. The Honor 80 Pro also comes with a large 4,800mAh battery that can reach a 50% charge in less than 15 minutes. This phone will use Honor’s MagicOS 7, based on Android 13 software.

The Honor 80 Pro will be available for consumers to purchase in four colors, Ripple Blue, Emerald Green, Sunrise Pink, and Midnight Black. It will also come in three RAM and storage configurations, including 8/256 GB, 12/256 GB, and 12/512 GB.

The lower-end Honor 80 does not come with the massive range of AI-recommended photo features as the 80 series. Still, it is the first model shipped with the Snapdragon 782G, the newest mid-range mobile platform. It will allow the Honor 80 to have decent performance and support Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.
