Asus has added a new 16-inch option to their ROG flow lineup, and it is a 2-in-1 device that can handle multimedia and high-end gaming. The Flow X16 is an extremely capable device that allows the user to play games smoothly at their highest setting. The user can amp it up further by adding an AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS and Nvidia’s RTX 3070 Ti. Furthermore, this laptop can also support fast DDR5 RAM up to 64GBs.
The screen of this new laptop is extremely bright as it can go up to 1100 nits when you turn it to maximum brightness. The screen has a 16:10 aspect ratio and has an option for a Mini LED glass-covered touchscreen. Slim bezels surround this impressive screen, which leaves just enough room for a 1080p Windows webcam at the top.
The most impressive feature about this laptop is probably the hinge, which is unheard of in gaming laptops. This 360-degree hinge allows the user far more versatility than a normal one. There is also a stylus which adds to the usability of this laptop.
As this is a gaming laptop, there are many ports available for the many peripherals that gamers often attach to their devices. There is one USB 4.0 Type-C port, an HDMI 2 port, two USB-A ports, a MicroSD slot, and a headphone jack.
Although the base laptop is extremely impressive, there are a lot of customizations that the user can make this laptop to allow it to be better suited. One can change the graphics card, the amount of RAM, and even the screen.
The Asus ROG Flow X16 can also be equipped with a QHD display, with a 165Hz refresh rate and 512 dimming zones. There is also the option to add in a touch screen. The possibilities with this laptop are truly endless.
